Children in grades 4 to 6 are invited to decorate a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch (aka the Children's Garden) for a chance to win a family four-pack of tickets to McCann's Farm in Monroeville! Each ticketholder will receive a free wagon ride to the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze experience. To participate in the contest, decorate a pumpkin based upon a character from your favorite book, such as Harry Potter or Diary of a Wimpy Kid. You may use paint or marker or any other kind of embellishment but carved pumpkins will not be accepted. Return your decorated pumpkin by October 18th to be displayed in the library. Library users will vote on their favorite entry and the winner will be announced on October 24th. Good luck!
