Every hero has a story..what's yours? That is the theme of this year's Summer Reading Program. The library invites you to share your idea of a hero by participating in our Edible Book Contest. Submit a cake featuring your favorite character reprsenting your idea of a "hero." Examples would be Harry Potter or Katniss Everdeen or Captain America. The public will vote on the entries which will be displayed in the library on June 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The entry receiving the most votes wins! Contest guidelines: one entry per person, subject matter must be a character from a book and be appropriate for a public library setting, entry must include a list of ingredients and all ingredients must be edible, entry forms must be received by June 24 at 4:00 p.m., cakes must be received by 5:00 p.m. on June 25, contest is open to ages twelve and up and the winner will be notified by phone. Prize to be announced.
